Vannak will take us to the local market to buy the ingredients needed before coming back to the restaurant and learning how to prepare delicious Khmer food. After lunch, we go on to Phnom Bannon hill at there we will climb the 337 steps to visit the 12th century's Prasat Bannon temple. Afterwards, Phnom Sampeu. Here at this mountain the Khmer Rouge used two caves for their gruesome work of torture and killing some of their victims. A memorial holding some of the victims' remnants has been created. At the top are two Wats, one which was used as a prison during the Khmer Rouge era, and a small, colourful modern one from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the countryside.
