Day Walking Activities: Spirit Asia Travel itineraries designed most of the day include some walking or hiking. We walks through city streets, villages, market, temples, and require the ability to climb stairs and ramps. Day walking/hike is part of our multi-day adventures activities, the ability to navigate narrow paths and moderately steep climbs is required during the trip. |
DAY 1: ARRIVAL SIEM REAP
There are many direct flies to Siem Reap, Cambodia via Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia and other destinations. According to your arrival time, our guide will be pleased to give you some suggestions what to do on your first day or afternoon in Siem Reap. In the evening you will enjoy a welcome dinner for our first night in Cambodia. Overnight in Siem Reap

DAY 2: ROLUOS GROUP & GREAT LAKE TONLE SAP
We will visit Roluos group, a collection of monuments representing the remains of Hariharalaya, the first major capital of the Angkorian-era Khmer Empire. Then we will take a boat cruise and canoe through the fishermen’s village of Kompong Phluk amongits houses on stilts. We will climb the Phnom Krom hill to visit the three old towers dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma in the late afternoon to view the sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap

DAY 3-4: ANGKOR COMPLEX
Angkor covers an area of about 402 Square Km and during this trip we will have two full days to explore this ancient capital. Your expert guide will take you on a journey back in time exploring the main Angkor Complex to include the special times of sunrise. The amazing temples of Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat are included and we will also drive through countryside to visit Kbal Spean and Banteay Srei temples built from beautiful pink sandstone.
During our visit you will have the opportunity to visit the NGO for orphans that is supported by Spirit Asia Travel as well as the Landmine museum.
Some of our meals will be taken at NGO training restaurants for street youth where students of the School of Hotel and Tourism gain valuable experience and skills for future employment. Overnight in Siem Reap

DAY 5: PHNOM PENH CAPITAL
We will leave Siem Reap in the morning, stopping near the village of Kompong Kdei to see an old bridge of the Angkorean Era, Phra Phutthos, better know as Kompong Kdei Bridge. Then, we will continue to Sambor Prei Kuk which is the setting of the most impressive group of pre-Angkorian monuments in all of Cambodia. After the visit, we will drive to the capital - Phnom Penh. Overnight in Phnom Penh

DAY 6: KILLING FIELDS & GENOCIDE MUSEUM
We will visit Choeung Ek, 15 km south of the city in the morning. This is a mass gravesite known as the Killing Fields after the popular movie of Roland Joffre. Afterwards we will drive back to the city center and visit the Tuol Sleng genocide museum. After lunch, we will visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, National Museum. Overnight in Phnom Penh

DAY 7: ONWARDS HOME
The tour ends after breakfast, when you will have free time to explore the central town, go shopping at the markets or relax at the hotel before your flight out. There are international flights to Bangkok or Vietnam and many other Asian destinations.

We use a combination of Guesthouse, Motel, Homestay, Camping, Boutique Hotel and 3, 4, 5 star hotels with swimming pool depending on your choice of journey. Each will be suitable to your choice and stay during your holiday. All accommodation is carefully chosen - hotels are clean, with unsuited bathroom, air-conditioning and television. The Guesthouse, homestay and camping will have shared bathroom facilities. All are clean and comfortable.
